TUG-OF-WAR TOURNAMENT FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
MAIDEN
EDITION
The maiden edition of the Azibaola Robert's Tug-of-War Tournament for Climate Change has come and gone.
The tournament which took place as Kolo community, Bayelsa State, saw 16 community tug against each other for the grand prize of $1000 and $500 and $200 respectively as 1st and 2nd runners up prizes.
Organized by Azibaola Robert under the auspices of Azibaola Robert Foundation, the tournament was meant to educate communities about the adverse effects of climate change and deforestation in the Niger Delta
Rainforest as well as in the wider Nigeria society. It was further to bring about peace-building amongst communities in the rather restive Niger Delta region as well as engage the youths in productive mental ventures and sports.

Next Edition
The next edition of the Azibaola Robert's Tug of War Tournament shall be taking place in the end of year holidays seasons of 2024 or the 1st quarter of 2026 as shall be determined by the organizers..
Participants
The participants for the next edition shall be drawn from all the communities of Ogbia LGA except the the communities who where for no explanations did not participate in this year's tournament after due invitation. Invitation letters shall duly be sent out the all invited communities for participation.
Winning Prizes
The winning prizes shall differ from year to year and shall be determined by the organizers and communicated to the participating communities and the general public each year well ahead of the tournament
General Information
As part of is humanitarian outreach and practical actions on the environment and climate change, Azibaola Robert organises communal games to foster communal team-spirit, peace and social enlightenment on the environmental challenges of the local people.
