Managing Director
Kakatar Group
Azibaola Robert founded Kakatar in 2002, under the previous name Mangrovetech, following his discontinuation of active social, human and environmental rights advocacy. He founded the then Mangrovetech, as a consulting firm, based on his expertise as a peace and conflict resolution expert, derived from his days as a community and social advocate and helped broker peace between multinational companies and communities aggrieved at their operations. Over the years, Mangrovetech gradually shifted focus later to furniture and woodwork, and eventually to civil engineering and construction.
In 2009, Mangrovetech moved its head office to Abuja, Nigeria's Federal Capital City. In 2013, it rebranded and changed its name to Kakatar CE Ltd.
Kakatar has since become one of the foremost indigenous civil construction companies in Nigeria, handling major projects for the Federal Government of Nigeria, state governments and private entities.
Among its numerous projects are the construction of Kyami District Engineering Infrastructure, Abuja, on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria at the cost of N60.8 billion, the Maitama Extension District Engineering Infrastructure.
